Know Better, Brew Better
Most people don't. Here's what the industry isn't telling you.
Many conventional tea bags are made from nylon or PET plastic. When steeped in hot water, these materials can release microplastic particles directly into your cup. Research has documented billions of microplastic particles released per bag per steep.
Paper tea bags are often bleached with chlorine or epichlorohydrin to achieve that clean white appearance. These chemicals can leach into brewed tea and have raised concerns in wellness communities.
Under current labeling laws, “natural flavors” can legally include hundreds of chemical compounds derived from natural sources — processed far beyond anything you'd recognize. It's one of the most common ways brands mask low-quality ingredients.
Mass market teas are often blended with filler herbs, tea dust, and low-grade fannings — the smallest, lowest-quality remnants of tea processing. Volume over quality is the standard. Solvaya is not the standard.
Loose leaf tea uses whole or large-cut botanicals — the part of the plant with the most intact plant compounds, flavor, and benefit. No bag. No plastic. No compromise.
